I found this book really hard going. I'm not a huge fan of history books and this one was just not doing it for me. I found the story hard to get into. No connection with the characters either. Very slow going too. I think if you like history books then this will be perfect for you but just not for me. Couldn't wait to finish it. The characters were difficult to follow.
The front cover was also a bit on the boring side too. I get it's trying to illustrate the title of the book but it's just so boring. I think a better job could have been done for the book to try and gain an interest into the story.
I won't be trying another book by the same author any time soon but we'll wait and see.
