Parting of the Ways (and arms,legs and heads)
I have read a lot of books in my time but I think this must be the bloodiest I have ever read
When it started out at the very beginning with tons of people cruelty I rather assumed it would quickly settle down to normality.
Not a bit of it. Defenseless people were still being parted from all sorts of limbs all the way through. In the Archers the locals may be worried about the abattoir closing but it would be working overtime if it featured in this book!
And with all the heads chopped off the locals here must have been in mortal danger of tripping over them all!
In spite of a lot of repetition with the descriptions of all the brutality the author did keep it interesting until the end so it was not hard work to finish the book.
And yes I did enjoy it In a bloody sort of way!
