I haven't read the first book in the series, but will be getting it soon after reading this extract! The characters are fascinating and the opening extract indicates that the plot will contain plenty of twists and tension- as to be expected from a thriller writer. From the character list at the beginning there are a lot of villains opposing the feisty heroine, although she has staunch supporters too. I look forward to reading the novel and learning more about the characters and about this period in history.
