I think it's always hard to write a first impression of a sequel when you haven't read the first book, but I'll give it a quick go!
First of all, the cover is pretty nice. It has a lovely mixture of purple and green, which caught my eye.
The blurb actually reminded me of 'The Miniaturist' by Jessie Burton in terms of its intrigue, but it seems that it will be a lot more fast-paced.
