As a genre Historical fiction is my absolute favourite but this book covers not just history but my favourite time period in history: Medieval!
Loved the outline of the plot of the first one and this sounds just as good as it covers not just the sense of devastation that plague can cause but also of people who are trying to overcome living through these times and in such close quarters. Which not just questions the social order at the time but what will change after this dramatic event.
Also the characters were well developed as they were strongly presented and given room to grow within the story and this sounds like it will be just the same. When I finished the first one I was devastated as I just wanted it to carry on and this book will enable me to catch up with the story and the characters which was so good.
The cover is still a thing of beauty as it looks like a medieval tapestry which first drew me in to the first book and I am glad they are keeping with the theme of the beautiful covers.
