The first few pages of the book are long lists of all the different characters and backstory which although helpful in some ways seemed an odd way to begin a book. It was also extremely lengthy and a little unnecessary.
The actual story itself finally started and I just found myself switching off and paying little attention. I couldn't feel connected at all to the storyline or the characters.
