I found this book really enjoyable . Took me a few chapters to get into the storyline but once on to it I couldn't finish it quick enough. I have not read the first part of this series so I was thrown into Develish but was able to catch up and the book can be used as a stand alone . The main characters of Thaddeus and Lady Anne are both strong and likeable . The book describes the cultural and social background of these two and how they fit into the life in the 1340's How times have changed but feelings trust and loyalty remain the same throughout the decades . The book cover is bright and thrilling and gives an apt description of what is inside . Would highly recommend giving this book a browse
