If you are expecting a tell all from a political journalist who is forever behind the scenes with the prime minister and all his cabinet, getting undercover information for his book them think again. You couldn't be more wrong. This is a work of fiction although it does stop you trying to read between the lines.
There are a lot of characters in this book so to keep up you need to pay attention. From backstabbing, changing sides and a secret plan to raise taxes from the treasury......now where have we heard that one before !!! You could almost be there listening through a door to the covert goings on. Robert person also delves into the world of drink and drugs and although some politicians in the past have fallen foul of these demons I did not think this was a necessary part of the book. All in all a good read but would definitely lose some of the unneeded extras
