I really enjoyed this debut novel The Whistle Blower by Robert Peston. The cover is attractive and I was drawn to the book and I always enjoy a thriller!
The author uses his experience of the political world to form this story. The characters are believable and I suspect they are based on colleagues! I really enjoyed the style of writing and the main character Gil who is trying to establish the truth around his sisters death. Lots of secrets from the world of politics are uncovered but I won’t say anymore so as not to give anything away. I would definitely recommend this book as it is well written and enjoyable to read but think those people with an interest in politics would probably enjoy the content more than those with no understanding or liking for the the subject. I look forward to the next instalment from this new author in due course.
