I really enjoyed this book and didn't realise that it was possible to write such an exciting thriller based around the world of politics. In this book, Gil Peck is distraught as he discovers that his sister has been knocked off her bike. However, after speaking to his sister's colleague, Gil starts to think that this may be something more sinister than an accident.

This was a well written book, medium paced book, and you can see Robert Peston's expertise in the world of politics shine through in the details. Throughout the book I always felt that I was kept on my toes and wondering what would come next. The political and thriller elements were well woven to create a well balanced and believable story, that also makes you think about the secrets of the political world. There were constant twists and turns, and I thought the book introduced new information at a good pace.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend to others wanting a thriller with an element of political intrigue.
