I have not read any political books in my life. However this one caught my eye as I had seen the author many times on tv. I started it with an open mind and so glad I did. It has the start of a real whodunnit but then the political side comes in and you can see where this is heading. I feel the authors years in the political eye has left a real eye to detail and you can see this in the vocabulary and the way the story evolves. Not wanting to give too much away I felt as if every detail has been drawn from experience and also the clever interviews of last years had green drawn upon. I feel the book evolved in a way you could not wait to turn the page and again every act of skullduggery reported beautifully. I like the way the story evolved and you could feel that every detail was felt and thought through. I’m so hooked now and can’t wait for a second book to come out.
