This book has a classical feel to it, it is clear the author writes with confidence and emotion in a writing style I would describe as cosy. The story seems well fleshed out in what appears to be a heartwarming read. I felt automatically protective over Katherine who takes the focus in this excerpt, her character is written with care and thought, I feel sure her story will be explored with emotion and meaning throughout the book.
