I thought this would be boring, but from three pages in I was absolutely hooked. It follows the story of a teenage Word who goes to meet his friend, Deaf. Deaf appears intelligent, and thinks outside what they are. The worldbuilding was amazing, I instantly knew what they (the Words) were, and that humans were a thing in this world, but they were at war.
