Quite beautifully written, but possibly a little bit too succinct

I liked this first impression, I thought that it was beautifully written and illustrative in its use of language. The cover illustrates the prologue of the book perfectly and is very apt. My only issue with this book is that it is quite so short - at 176 pages it is more like a children's book, not a novel as it professes to be...
