I had such high hopes for this story. The concept intrigued me and the extract added to that existing intrigue. However, when I read this book, though the concept was strong, it was at times hard to grasp. I found myself having to decipher different areas and how they worked rather than just being able to get lost in the story.
Saying that, for me this was a five star prediction and ended up being only a three star sort of average read. However, I can one hundred percent see this book being on so many people's list of absolute favourite reads. Going on from that, it also give the impression of being very rereadable in the sense that I think that every single time you reread it, you would notice something new or different or gain a new out come or moral from the journey and the ending. A lot can be taken from it and it definitely wasn't wasted time even though it is not what I expected.
