first of all, the design of this book is so cute and aesthetically pleasing. the hardback includes a ribbon bookmark and the drawings/ type of paper is so nice to experience.
the story is equally as brilliant. although some of the small stories were a little bit lengthy and hard to stay focused on, the little mentions of classic kids stories really kept me interested (the alice in wonderland part in particular).
the concept of this story was something completely new to me, and i was so excited to read it. that anticipation definitely wasn’t let down. the translation did such a good job at including all the little metaphors and wordplays- i even found myself wishing i was actually in the world at points.
overall though, this was such a cute and cozy short story. i’ll definitely be recommending it to people i know (as it’s not the kind of book you come across every day, but i love it for that)
