The Word Trove has possibly one of the most unique premises that I have ever come across. I love books about books and literature so this really captured my attention. Whilst it was really unique and clever, I still didn't love it as much as I was hoping. The writing lacked depth and it didn't feel concise enough. Also, some elements of the plot were far more interesting than others. For example, the Linguistic games were, by far, my favourite part of the story and I wish that we could have stayed in this part of the plot for longer. The book itself is stunning. We're treated to a lovely embossed hardback with gorgeous illustrations and wordplay that really complement the story. It's not very long so it offers a nice quick and easy-to-read story
