The Word Trove by Ellas Vorpahl.
I was given a copy of this book in return for a review.
Well what can I say.
Part of the enjoyment of reading a book is the cover must give me the desire to open up the pages.
This is quite an appropriate cover for the book.
The book itself is deep blue with a gold candle on the front ..again quite nice.
It also includes a book mark ribbon which I really like.
There are illustrations by Lena Tschka, nee Stadler ..the books tells us that her visual language shows a love of detail and a variety of expressive techniques while remaining sensitive to the essential and that "The Word Trove" is the first novel she has designed...
This I feel is certainly true.
The author tells us that the content has taken 10 years in the making.
This surprises me, as quite honestly I was not impressed by it.
It would probally be a book aimed at a different type of person from myself as this is certainly not one for me.
