I've read previous books by Bond and am always struck by how character driven they are - she writes people so well. But reading the premise of this my heart sinks a little - it just sounds like a well worn cliche to do the 'opposites' female friendship off on a road trip complete with secretive past revelations and self discovery - as a writer I've always enjoyed her work but the premise for this just doesn't really sound like something I'd really want to read.
