This book is perfect if you're looking for something to read over the summer. It's one of those that you can dip in and out of without losing the plot.

Following the story of Thea and Denise, two 50-somethings with very different lives, the story talks about love, life and the pains of growing older. It is witty, serious and simply lovely in equal measure. The characters were both infuriating and loveable and I didn't want to put it down. Flitting between the two perspectives, Bond manages to make each point of view feel completely different. I found myself both sympathising with the characters and wanting to shake them.

As somebody approaching 30, this book made me reflect upon what I want to do with my life and what I want my future to be. The style of writing is easy to read and is sure to draw you in. A modern-day Thelma and Louise with a twist.
