I really enjoyed reading the journey that this story takes - from the physical one; through the situations, scenery and experiences to the development of the characters emotional intelligence as they understand themselves better and learn and grow from this.

I did like the writing style of short chapters so the book can be easily picked up and down so can be read at pleasure without concerns of loosing the plot. It would make a good book club discussion piece.

It did make me think of the poem - Reason, Season or Lifetime, although I feel that Thea and Denise’s relationship is built by all three. Reason (meeting a need by each person) - they meet by chance and Thea is the lifesaver in an unpleasant situation and then Denise becomes the convenience when Thea is later at unease. The story then takes on the ‘season’ aspect of their relationship as they share experiences, joy and laughter and they do things they have never done before, so growing and learning from each other.
It could end there but do have a read and enjoy their journey too.
