This was the perfect book for lying in the sun on holiday as it was easy to read and a quick page turner.

This book is about two women who have very little in common. A chance meeting sets them on a journey of discovery, support and friendship when they both need it most.

Thea, is a divorced fifty something with a teenage daughter who ‘hates’ her and wishes to live with her father, his new wife and their two small children. Thea is at a loss as she has suffered I’ll health, has a mother in residential care and a job that no longer inspires her. With a list of things she wishes to do, she sets off on a road trip.

Denise has been married for over twenty years, has three sons and works alongside her husband in his business and spends what little spare time she has visiting her father-in-law who is in residential care but is upsetting staff and is rarely visited by his own son. She feels undervalued, unloved and needs adventure. She decides to go with Thea for a one night spa break unplanned leaving a note telling her husband that she will be back. The one night leads to a week of events including a much needed break to visit her mother.

The story is full of laughter, respect, support, relationships and long term friendships. Well worth a read.
