Iv only previously read one of Caroline's books which I enjoyed, so I was looking forward to reading this, as it sounded like the perfect summer read and it was. I loved the characters and the way in which they evoked different emotions when in each other's company.
Part 1 of the book set up the characters and their backgrounds, with part 2 being where they set off on the road trip. There were many laugh out moments within the book, but I think the road trip really signified things for them.
The twist in regards to Thea at the end was an emotional one, but I loved the ending of the book and the way it showed the characters years later.
Caroline states at the end that it was loosely based on Thelma & Louise and this book would be a big hit for any fan. It was an uplifting and enriching tale of friendship, that had me gripped throughout.
