Two women show what the true meaning of friendship is in this book. Thea and Denise both have their own problems. Troubles in their personal lives and family life have made them think things over. It sort of reminds me of Thelma and Louise the movie which is what I first thought when I saw the cover of this novel. The two women are total opposites. Thea has divorced her husband, but her daughter wants to leave her and move in with him and his new wife and new home. In, of all places, she meets Denise in the ladies toilets after they both attend the same event. And a friendship blossoms. Denise lives with her husband who is a very successful business man and they live with their two sons in a posh house in st albans. But all is not well, Denise is not happy. The two women discuss a road trip to try and escape their mundane lives and from this plan becomes the reality of leaving their lives behind for a while and discover more about each other
