Part one, these ladies have met by chance, initial meeting an unlikely way to meet a new acquaintance, although at first it doesn't appear a friendship could grow. Covering how the friendship starts, taking you to the very start of the road-trip.
Part two, covers the trip itself, where the ladies are trying to find their place with each other, not initially having that close bond unsure of how frank they can be. Whilst personally tackling their own personal worries. Part three takes them back to reality.
Thea at first seems the confident lady who has it all, but really is single, has a difficult relationship with both her daughter and ex husband and seems almost lonely.
Denise seems quite the opposite in personality/confidence. Denise's relationship with husband Simon, doesn't appear to be smooth, Simons behavior seems quite selfish, taking for granted she'll always be there. Denise's new friendship seems to help her reevaluate her life, her self worth.
It's rare and lovely to see a close friendship blossom, later in life. Whilst neither I'd class as old, good friends are hard to find and keep.
