First of all, I love Caroline Bond. Every novel I’ve read by her I’ve really enjoyed and this one was no different at all. In fact, I might argue it was even better than her previous work.
Thea and Denise are two incredible female characters that are sharp, edgy and relatable. I really appreciated as a reader the fact that these women had the same or similar flaws and that was really ok. I found them to be really well planned, developed and maintained throughout the novel.
I also really enjoyed the plot as a whole. It’s got a lot of scope and I felt like it was explored really well. There weren’t any gaps for me and the writing style is also something I really enjoyed too.
Overall, this novel is perfect for someone who enjoys their female fiction, strong female characters and excellent female perspective writing. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see the next Caroline Bond novel.
