The cover gripped me from the start, it looks quite mysterious with an exotic feel to it. The colours complement each other perfectly and give a hint to the adventures inside.
The protagonist seems very interesting and the choices she'll have to make are immense. She comes across as a bold character whose status will affect her relationships throughout the novel. I was absorbed with all pages of the extract; her interactions with the King and nobles completely hooked me. I already connected with her character in the short sample!
