Wow this first impression really drew me in. At first I wasn't sure but I like Alyrra as a character, she is clearly opressed and abused by her brother and mother and I hope the book gives her chance to grow and find her true personality. I'm intrigued to find out the real reason for the marriage and whether the prince will be nice or another person for Alyrra to fear. Its nice to see a book of this genre not be too cliche, I definitely want to read more.
