Im not a huge fan of magical fiction unless it's written in a very convincing manner and I'm afraid I couldn't get past this being a poor relation to Game of Thrones and protagonist Arya with the similarity in names. However, saying that, the book really should be judged on its own merits and the opening blurb does hint at a substantial plot and story, but just not one for me.
