This is not my usual goto style of reading book, however the cover drew me in and hinted of mystery and intrigue. The writing style is excellent and beautifully set the scene and the tension was palpable. I am keen to discover what happened 3 years previously to make her brother hate her so much and why the family think so little of Alyrra. I can't wait to read the rest and follow the journey of Alyrra who I hope will be able to find her happy ending
