I adored this book so much. I wasn't expecting to. I thought it would just be okay but I soared through it.
You could easily see aspects of the original story with the horse and even with the changes made for it to fit the novel world it was so good. It was what you want in a retelling- a good mix of the old and something new.
I liked that the romance wasn't instant. Even though there were hints even at the end they still don't know if they love eachother and that makes me want to know what happens next but made sense with the story. It's not like they'd had much of a chance to get to know eachother after all!
But the characters were good, the magic system was fascinating and I adored the world.
Really enjoyed this book and need to continue on the series.
