I knew I would love this book from the start!
I love retellings and YA fantasy and this book is both!
I have to admit I didn’t know anything about the goose girl fairytale until I came upon this book. I had never even heard of it before.
I found this book a bit slow to start with but once the pace picked up I was absolutely hooked. It was so different to any other fairytale I’ve read. I also read a lot of retellings and I loved that the author wrote about a lesser known fairytale. I love that by producing this retellings so many people (myself included) will learn about this fairytale and hopefully want to learn more about it! I know I’ll definitely be looking into this fairytale more!
Also, the cover is absolutely STUNNING.
