In Thorn, although I have only read the first chapter, it leaves you wanting to discover more, to understand why the main character's brother hates her so much and wants to hurt her.
I also wish to find out why the king has chosen her as the person to marry his son, as he must see something in her to want this.
It would be interesting to find out more about the back story on the characters and why everyone wishes for the main character to stay in hiding, away from the king and everyone who has come to visit.
I am intrigued to know more and this book definitely leaves you striving to find out more about each of the characters, even down to the ones like the kings guard who seems to be protecting the princess.
