I can't even begin to say how amazing this book is! I was hooked from the beginning and just could not put this down.
The imagery of the setting was just so fluid and real, I could just imagine myself standing in Menaiya.
Each character was so well thought out, their flaws, their driving factors, their vulnerabilities.
The only thing that I felt out of place was how sudden the identity of the Wind was revealed. It felt like it had been thrown in there.
One thing I did love was how open the ending was. I wonder if the author will write a sequel. Many questions were left unanswered and I want the romantic relationship between Kestrin and Alyrra to be explored. There's also the issue of the Lady and whether Alyrra has subdued her desire for revenge enough to keep her away forever...
