This is a retelling of an old fairytale 'the goose girl'.
For starts I really love the cover of this book. It's eye catching and just beautiful.
I loved the blurb of this book and I really felt for our main character princess alyrra. She was treated badly by her family and really hasn't had it easy. Knocked down by the people who are meant to build you up I was rooting for her character to get her freedom and happy ending just from the first few chapters. She has her escape but to an unknown country betrothed to Prince kestrin. What follows is a journey with sourcery, magic and betrayal.
It's a well paced book perhaps slightly rushed towards the end, but overall I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to others.
