I was blown away by this book.
I read it within a total of two days. I was so impressed with how well the author portrayed the characters. This book definitely is one of my favourite reads of 2020. I recommend to all those who love a fairy retelling with a twist. Thorn is a retelling of The Goose Girl fairytale. I'm unfamiliar with the original, but I found Thorn walked an interesting line between fairytale and reality. Yes, it has a prince, a goose girl and a witch. It even has a talking horse. I found this story very enjoyable, and it may be something that I’ll eventually want to reread. I’d recommend it for anyone interested in fairy tale retellings or fantasy books with strong female protagonists.
