I loved this book that after I finished it I couldn't enjoy anything else. I had to have a break my next book because my expectations were too high. Intisar Khanani, thanks for this beautiful book that killed me!
It is a retelling for The goose girl by Grimm Brothers. I haven't read the story but Ive heard about it, so I had a hint about the idea of the story. The authors writing is beautiful and easy to follow. I can’t wait to finish this book.

What I love the most in the story it's that Alyrra is not that kind of powerful, sass princess. Her only power is kindness. She cares about her friends and her people, but she also wants to be free. Another thing it's that this story is not the usual fairytale. It has subjects as violence, rape, cruelty, death and it gives you a lots of powerful messages. Overall would recommend
