The first thing that caught my eye was the cover, its absolutely stunning and I loved the patterns on the background. The second thing was the statement near the top "one princess. Two fates. An impossible choice", I intrigued with this because it actually made me want to read it as it screams fantasy and I love that! I enjoyed Thorn a lot because of its detailed word-building, its strong
characters and plot. I was hooked in from the first page and definitely read this again. My favourite character was the main character Alyrra. Its such an unique name and easily to pronounce, but most importantly I love her attitude and the way she had to trust herself. The author of this book is the author of The theft of sunlight and the Sun bolt chronicles, writing book with mighty girls and diverse worlds. I would consider this book to be a must read for any lover of epic fantasy
