I feel so much hate for the main characters brother after reading the first look. I want to strangle him and knock some sense into him. I'm pretty sure this is set in a time where men were far superior than women, so it'd be fairly normal but I already hate him.
I do love the setting so far. I can't wait to see what adventures she goes on and wether she ever finds peace after her brothers violence.

The descriptions are well written, I could almost see the shimmering mirrors and all the characters. The first person perspective definitely makes it more personal and makes you really feel like you're living in her shoes. (God forbid)
I'm also unsure how I feel about her mother so far.
