Thrilling!
What drew me in first was the front cover and the title was ambiguous enough for me to be interested. I like the idea of how the main character is a princess and has the opportunity to become a goose girl which allows us to see how Alyrra develops as a character. It touches on the themes of justice and deception and how Alyrra deals with it all. Although it did have a slow start, I think this book is definitely worth reading because the characters are all unique in their own way. What I like the most is the fact that the main protagonist, Alyrra, is the fact that she isn’t a dainty princess but she’s suffers abuse from her family and she learns from all these experiences. Most of all, she isn’t a damsel in distress but she’s pretty resilient and self-sufficient and I think the author has written a very detailed book that anyone can enjoy if they particularly like fantasy.
