I was gripped straight away. You instantly want to know what happened to Sophie. Chapter four brings in a new insight. The thinkings of Sophie are portrayed very well. The wife, Jean, is angry at Fortune but you can feel some underlying regret in Fortune for what he did. I am really enjoying this book and can't wait to find out what happens
