Captivating and intense, Troll is a breath of fresh air in the Thriller world.

Fortune, an absent father and big-time banker, is back in the UK to plea with the local police to help find his missing daughter, Sophie. But as detectives decide it's time to close down the investigation, Fortune finds himself in the middle of something absolutely harrowing as he discovers his daughters life is in his hands. When the police disregard her absence as an 'obvious' suicide, Fortune delves deeper and takes a long look at Sophie's online presence, where she would enlighten her audience through her blog. Soon enough, Fortune discovers something sinister in the comments section and it's up to him to find his daughters location before it's too late.

I picked Troll up on a whim in a local bookshop. It looked like a cheap and easy read. However, it has been one of the most refreshing thrillers I have read in a long time. The plot was far from cliched and the suspenseful twists were enough to make me keep coming back for more.

D.B Thorne has delivered something gripping and harrowing, that not only leaves the reader on edge after every chapter but it also enjoyable to read! And I did feel a little special seeing that my hometown was the base for one of the chapters...

I'll definitely be looking out for D.B Thorne in the future.
