Fortune's daughter has gone missing. The police assume she has taken her own life as all evidence shows that she was not of sound mind in the lead up to her disappearance. Fortune believes she is still alive and sets out to prove them wrong and find his daughter.
I won't say too much as I feel the story unfolds really well and it's great to discover these twists and turns for yourself. It is well paced and an easy read with heavily flawed but pretty likeable characters. Well, except one maybe! There are creepy scenes in the book that have you holding your breath and keep you reading on and on, however I felt the ending ever so slightly let it down for me. It was a good conclusion, just not a great conclusion. However, I would definitely read more by this author!
