Unforgivable is a novel that grabbed my attention from the very beginning. As a student interested in this type of career path I hoped that this realistic story written by a man who was in the police would give me a look into the real world of these types of crime. I was spot on. His attention to detail makes you feel like you are right there beside MacReady. Most novels seem like a movie you are following but this novel felt like real life, like I was a part of something actually happening as I read it. I found it hard to put down and was constantly wanting to know more. I was invested in the case. An intriguing story that sets out to solve horrific crimes, that I hope will never actually happen, in the beautiful city of Cardiff.
