A great premise with a fun leading lady!
From reading the synopsis I love the premise of this book and the cover would definitely catch my eye in a shop!
In only one chapter I have found myself really laughing aloud and with the story being told from Matilda Effie Heaton's perspective her humour really shines through. She even says how her initials being the word 'meh' sum her up in the opinions of those around her, hence going by the name Effie!
Being a lover of reading and all things book related, I really like that Effie dreams of being a writer and seeing people in her day to day life reading a book she has written. I already sense that Effie has some problematic people in her life, including her supposed 'best friend' Kate. I'm really hoping that some luck and positivity is heading Effie's way, especially as she thinks she fails at everything she touches. I can't wait to learn more about Effie and see the journey she goes on as this story progresses.
