The cover of this book is really pretty with beautiful colours used to showcase it’s simple imagery. My eyes would certainly be drawn to this cover whilst browsing the shelves in my local bookshop.
The first impression was easy to read and while it painted a clear picture of the sadness and feelings of failure surrounding the main character, it was well balanced with humour and made me giggle out loud in places.
I loved the author’s style of writing and could not put the first impression down. I really would love to find out how Effie and Theo’s story ends!
