The characters introduced in the introductory chapters all are interesting and made me want to see where the story takes them. The main character Effie is someone who although is quite depressing it isn't too much and I genuinely want to see her happiness come. I think a lot of people could empathize with feeling lonely and not as good as their friends at times. I really enjoyed what I read.
