I am not sure about this book but would like to read it to see which way it goes. The main character Effie has had lots of dissapointments in life and has some unthoughtful friends and disastrous dates but I found her to be a little too pessimistic and a bit sweary for me. That said I did quite enjoy reading the first look. There are some interesting characters and it would be good to see if Effie's outlook on life changes as the story develops.
