I was hooked immediately from the extract because everyone has those bad days whereby everyone elses life seems so much more appealing than your own. Overall, a relatable extract. I like Effie's hostile demeanour and the chance encounter is sweet. I don't understand the cover, so would need to continue reading to find out why/what it is.
