I thought this book was a lovely easy read. You were really taken on Effie's journey with her, especially emotionally. Of course there was going to be a twist with Theo, every great story has one. But I feel that it was a little too far fetched. However, I particularly enjoyed watching Effie's character development in the second half of the book (I don't want to give away any spoilers). I did not like her view that she could not cope without Theo, but when she got over that, I really loved watching her grow as a character!
I feel that the other characters were perfect additions to the story - it was nice seeing different aspects of Effie's relationships and how they changed over the course of the story.
